Prairie Clover

purple clovers glow
a passion magnet for bees
nature’s dance of love

We’re lucky to have Joe Neal as a local resource for identifying birds, flowers, and prairies in the Ozarks. Joe has been sharing his love for nature for the last 40 years, first working for the Forest Service, and more recently as a local birding guide. He often shares his wise musings on the interplay of man and nature. Thanks Joe.
It’s an intriguing flower. Part of me feels like I’ve seen it before, but I’m not sure…
Lovely poem for it though, Brad. Hugs.

Bushwa… I’m anything but PC. The poem is lovely. And I think it was a similar but different plant… maybe even from when i was a kid…

Thank you Janet. Agreed, we need more folks like Joe with passion and dedication. He also organizes and runs annual bird counts in the area.

We need more Prairie Clover, Brad, because we need the bees!!! Is it weird that it looks to me like it is wearing a tutu?! It’s gorgeous just like your poem. Have a wonderful week, my friend! 🙂

Agreed Tanya. The prairie clover is odd looking and we need more flowers for the bees and butterflies. Thankfully, more people are starting to use landscaping to create habitat for insects.
