This image warms my heart and brings a smile to my being. It’s a beautiful image captured by Linda Wright at Walker Canyon, California this spring during the unusually colorful spring flower display called a super bloom. A super bloom is a rare desert flower event when a high proportion of wildflowers germinate and blossom at roughly the same time after years of lying dormant. This spring California experienced a very wet season followed by the best super bloom in years. Apparently, the flowers could be seen from space and flower peeps like me flocked to the hills to gawk, photograph, and frolic!

I sure would love to visit and tiptoe through this field. ๐Ÿ™‚ How about you?

  1. how gorgeous and wow that the blooms could be seen from space!! that’s incredible. loving your words and they mirror the energy of things here too in tahoe where the wildflowers are blooming like crazy and about to explode into amazingness shortly. makes you want to sing….”the hills are alive with the sound of music!”
