Turkey Tales
there once was a turkey named freebird
who wasn’t one to follow the herd
rather than gobbling all the time
he’d rather explore the sublime
~
this is a whimsical tale
of a fellow who loved kale
rather than debate over dark and white
he loves the many shades of light
~
sad is he over fighting in the land
when there is such bounty at hand
one day these turkeys will fly
regaining their place in the sky

This poem reflects my quirky mix of my emotions today from sadness to hope, freedom, fear and a little room left to play. π May your feast be filled with food, fun, family, friends and freedom.

It’s probably the wrong time of year to cheer for turkeys, but “three cheers for Freebird!”
