  1. You could have been stood outside our home Brad, as this picture depicts the dark dreary misty rainy dull damp days we have had in the UK recently..
Lovely poem…. May your melancholy moments be few and far between.. 🙂 ❤ 🙏💚
Have a wonderful day and weekend Brad…
Stay Blessed and loved my catch up ❤

  2. Powerful piece, Brad. Matching the photo so well, but also the mood this year has brought us ~ life is so far off track from what it is normal, it makes it easier for us all to stumble into those “dark melancholy moments, hidden dangers lurk”. Well done ~ and wishing you a great final month to 2020, and a super holiday season.

    • Thanks Randall. It’s interesting how often an image, mine or others, stirs feelings and inspires me to pen a poem. Yes, lots of stumbling around this year. Thankfully hope seems to be hovering and growing. May this season fill our hearts and inspire a year of love and progress.

  3. So perfectly penned to match the emotions of the photo, Brad!
What a perfect photo for the topic as well. It’s funny to me how I see black and white and shades of gray during the “down” times…and a kaleidoscope of beautiful colors when “UP!” (It even happens in my dreams!)
Stay well…and I hope that all is going well for you ❤

  4. I’ve missed the presence here on your blog, Brad! This was a gentle landing post as I had been away a short while. Sometimes the melancholic is so gentle and kinder than we think. Sometimes resting a little while in the fog is welcome. But what I really like is the way you wrote your poem and your exploration with your creativity. 💕
