Rainbow River
rainbows of color
wash over my parched being
a river of joy
~
toes dipping gently in water
touching a rainbow of colors
my senses waken with vibrant life
algae massaging my weary body
washing away the worries of tomorrow
returning to blissful presence
I flow with the rivers of life
~
Photo from Google images. The Caño Cristales River in La Macarena, Colombia is commonly called the River of Five Colors. The bed of the river is filled with yellow, green, blue, black, and especially red colors caused by various algae blooms that happen each year from July to November. Another great opportunity to appreciate the splendor of nature and be filled with wonder!
