The Dance of Love
~
take a centering breath
reach across the fears
maybe she’ll say yes
take the chance
play the game
feel the beat
move your feet
dance on soul weaver
~
Valentine’s Day has come and gone, along with my motivation for dating. Thanks to Natalie, fellow blogger at The Hot Goddess, I’ve been reminded that perspective is important in life and dating. Her view is to approach dating as a fun adventure, never knowing who or what you might discover. This way you stay open to new experiences and people. I’m going to adopt her perspective and throw myself out into the world of dating. It’s been about 10 years since I’ve been involved with anyone or tried dating. Do you think I’ve waited long enough? π
Poetry, flowers, and nature feed my soul and keep a glimmer of hope alive that I might find a woman to love and share my life. I decided to share my dreams and desires with our community. You never know where love is growing. In younger years, I loved dancing, both with a partner, and solo. When I dance alone it’s often a celebration of music, flow, and soulful connection. I would be delighted to find a woman with whom I can dance literally and figuratively.
Being older and wiser means my list of what I want in a relationship is shorter. Mostly, I want a woman to share the ups and downs of life with some love and adventure mixed in. I’m looking for a kind, healthy, open, honest, and active woman. No drugs or cigarettes. Let’s share the simple joys in life like good food, conversation, flowers, touch, gardening, and nature. If you treat me kindly, feed me, and share my love of nature, then I’m happy. And no, I don’t expect my partner to do the cooking, cleaning, and chores. I just like the treat of having someone cook and care for me.
To any interested dance partners, please send a love note or dance video. π€ΈββοΈΒ π
May it be a year of love and adventure.
Brad, I have a feeling that you will meet the perfect woman for you. You have so much to offer. XX

Ahhh, I took that breath. I listened to variations of βSoul Weaverβ in songs just now. I was actually thinking about βDream Weaver.β What a candid, refreshing approach to life and relationships, Brad. I do know one couple who met blogging and are now happily married. You remind me of the saying βif you want something different you have to do something different.β I admire your courage. Yes, a year of love, adventure and especially happiness. It will be a lucky woman who enters your life. π

Wonderful post and like that taking a leaf from someone else’s blog!!
I should do the same. π Coffee, hiking, fun and just getting back out there with no expectations bother than to feel like a tree going from winter to spring…is such a healthy idea!π
Great post and happy journey!! ποΈ

.Brad, with such an open and unusual approach you are bound to meet that special woman that loves dancing and laughing. Who loves walking in the nature and conversation, who loves music….
Oh,I am sure there are quite a few who can cook …..maybe you can cook too. Counter treats. π.

Amazing post! Your words are always so wonderfully written! Thank you for putting yourself out there, takes strength and courage and I do believe we all find special dancer, especially when we least expect it. That’s how I found my husband, wasn’t looking was working on myself and then he came into my life (again, we first met in 7th grade). We’re very opposite, but we just knew we were right for each other. Being open to any possibilities is what is, you never know someone you least expect is the perfect dancer for you! Wish you the best Brad!

When you are ready for love, Brad, love will appear. Usually however at the most unexpected times. First you have to break the fears that are keeping you back. Not easy no. Good luck!! xo

I love that you put yourself out there, Brad! And I really hope that you got some videos or messages in response to it!! We all need someone that we can share our hopes and dreams…and dance with! Yes…10 years was long enough…the major factor being that you put yourself out there when you were ready…and that is what is important. Things don’t work when we aren’t ready for them.
Here’s to dancing…light and love!! π

A beautiful poem, Brad, and a great attitude to go along with it. I like the approach of dating as a fun adventure. I’ll bet that positive attitude will come through. Yep, put yourself out there, join a hiking club, take a photography class, get ready for the end on this awful pandemic, and get ready for some fun. β€

Your choices ate very simple and I really appreciate that but I really think you should give yourself some time and you will definitely find someone nice! You should definitely not try to find someone random, it might cause you some real problems.
Get to know someone really well, only then go for them.

love your words and pictures! I am sure you will find a nice woman out there somewhere! it is hard the older we get… I’m about to give up, men my age, in our 60’s don’t want women in their 60’s… they prefer the younger prettier ones… its too bad as there are so many lovely women in their 60’s who would make great companions… Best of luck to you and keep us posted here on this blog!
