Christmas Miracle
~
a rare winter snow
sparks childhood glee and magic
shared heart to heart
~
~
We haven’t had any snow in about 5 years, except for a couple of dustings that lasted mere hours. Even this miracle event was only about 2″ of snow, but it brought so much joy to those of us who love the beauty of snow. Snow is rare in Arkansas, and definitely to happen before Christmas is amazing. So I’m claiming this as a Christmas miracle and a win for our Holiday Hygge!
~
May you be blessed with a Christmas Miracle!
Beautiful! We get snow a little more frequently, but it is amazing every time we get it!🤠🔥

How lovely, Brad, I would love to have a white Christmas. I’ve only experienced two in my life.

Me too Robbie. It’s doubtful we’ll have an actual White Christmas, but this is close enough and a treat. We used to get them every few years. Sorry they’re so rare for you.

I’m definitely enjoying seeing the dusting of white on trees and the ground. Usually it would have warmed and melted but we’re also having a cold spell. I hope you get some too Wendy! ❄

There is no snow where I live and cold weather hasn’t agreed with me in a lot of years so I haven’t gotten to drive to the beauty of the snow. I remember being mesmerized with the purity and beauty when in the past we did manage to make a day trip at least in the winter to get to experience it. Now I enjoy pictures and your post made me joyful too.

Hugge to you Brad. Your snow photos share the soft reflection that Snowfall encourages. We got a foot yesterday- I have a lot of reflecting to do!
LikeLiked by 5 people
Thanks Pam. A foot of snow would be fun as long as I didn’t have to drive like I do for my job. That’s a lot of snow for reflecting, sledding, and making snowpeople! 🎄 ❄
LikeLiked by 2 people
Yeah, driving’s not fun but in NE the plows are out before the last snow “flakes,” so clear by 7 am!!! But sledding is more fun. 🛷
LikeLiked by 2 people
Actually I don’t mind driving on fresh snow. It’s having appointments or time pressure that is no fun, especially with the wet, sloppy and icy combos we often have. And sledding is always more fun! 🛷

So nice to see the pictures! I’m not really into snow every year. I’ve gotten lucky many times in the past living in PA and having a lot of snow to remember. They just got a lot! Here if I drive about 45 min away, we get snow with the right time and conditions. We have had a nice snow on Thanksgiving a couple of years ago when we stayed at a lodge for 2 days. When my daughter gets older, I look forward to this. Thank you for sharing your Christmas miracle. There’s plenty of time for more miracles 😃

Oh please let me clarify: I love snow because it’s so pretty and quiet and delicate and sometimes heavy like a blanket. It’s delightful and when you play in it your cheeks get red! I’m just not too keen on the cold part or living in a snowy place right now. ❄️☺️ so what kind of fan does that make me? lol.
To more miracles, Brad, to hope to peace and good will. ⭐️🎄 !

Snow on/for Christmas was always a joy to have during my years in London. But since I left, I said goodbye to the cold weather. On a trip to Eugene OR and Streamwood IL some years back reminded me of what snow for Christmas used to be like 😊
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

The way that a fresh snowfall accents the lines of tree branches is truly magical. Your photos capture the beauty and joy of this meteorological event perfectly. We had rain for Christmas (which melted most of our previous snow and allowed me to continue to ride my bike.) I trust, living in New England, that we will be blessed with several more snow storms before spring (I hope) returns…
