I was inspired by Colleen Chesebro and her weekly poetry challenge to write a new form of poetry.Β Please read her beautiful garland cinquain called The Old Gods. A garland cinquain is a new form of poetry for me. It uses the classic cinquain with a 2/4/6/8/2 syllable count repeated over five stanzas. For the 6th stanza, you take line one from the first stanza, line two from the second stanza, etc. until you’ve created the last refrain.

Thank the Old Gods for Muses and Mayhem. 😜

  1. Brad, you capture the different facets of muse-beings beautifully! What a fun, mischievous read with an interesting, playful rhythm to it, I really enjoyed reading this. The rollercoaster rides a muse can take you on, perfectly described! Hope you are well my friend, wishing you a lovely week. Hugs!

    feelings to stir the pot
    mischief moody and chaotic

I wonder what that says about what I am feeling today?
    Keep shining your light.
