Craggy Dreams
~
lone tree grows sideways
roots clinging to rocky hills
a true survivor
~
I love these pines and cedars that cling to life in the craziest places. Thanks to Jennifer Parker for sharing her lovely photo taken on Mt. Magazine. At 2753′, it’s the highest peak in Arkansas. Mt. Magazine is a flat-topped mountain capped by hard rock and craggy cliffs. Trees need to be hardy to survive on these rocky hillsides. I could learn a lot about determination from these trees.
May we keep growing no matter the circumstances.
A true survivor, how true. I am enchanted with the tree, it is beautiful
and fun the way it shows how to balance its weight.
A huge Bonsai.

Love this thought. And by growing through tough circumstances, may we also transform our surroundings. Happy new year!

If the lone tree can make life work so can we…..We just have to trust ourselves and the universe to do it! VK

Fantastic photo. I too love the twisted, weathered bark of trees that have seen many skies. Wait, I think this is the start of a poem. Thanks for the inspiration.

Agreed Ka. Any inspiration is good. Craggy also fits my growing acceptance of the imperfection of life and myself. 🙂
