Soulful Sunday 102

This week Soulful Sunday brings you blissful reminders from Joseph Campbell and Plato.Soulful Sunday

We’re so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive. What we’re seeking is an experience of being alive…  ~ Joseph Campbell

Many mystics have described the rapture of being in union with spirit. When was the last time that you felt the bliss of simply being alive? I had a moment of grace this week while in church singing Beatles songs. The whole service was based on the music of the Beatles. They not only transformed the music of their generation but left us with an amazing legacy of inspired lyrics that remind us of the power of love. Or as their song says, “All You Need is Love.”

I hope you take time from your routines this week to simply rest in the beauty of being. And may you feel love.

At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet.” ~ Plato

  1. “Many mystics have described the rapture of being in union with spirit.”

So much beauty and devotion in your writing Brad. So much soul.

Which is why I believe you know what your life purpose is — you just don’t trust yourself enough to claim it.

“Who am I to be a poet, a wordsmith, and a soul shaker?”

To which I say — Who are you not to be Brad?

And if not now, when? If not you, who?

Claim who you are Brad. A writer. A freer. A mystic. A revolutionary.

Quietly changing the world. One keystroke. At a time.

This is what I see Brad. This is what I believe.

    Warm Wishes,

    Andrea xo

  2. This is too funny! I woke up this morning with my hair looking quite Beatle-like (because it’s short) and I was walking around singing Strawberry Fields Forever. Hehe. Perhaps I caught your vibe. 🙂
I loved the part about “mystics being in rapture with spirit” – YEAH! It reminds me of a book I read called, “Ordinary People as Monks & Mystics.” I know where will come a day when I feel like a “mystic” – I’m definitely not there, yet – but on this journey, I smile at the thought of, “how far can I go with all this?” I smile and wonder. 🙂 I hope you have a great week!
