the beauty of art

paper art, poetryThis poem is a tribute to Eloa Jane’s stunning paper art. I found her art at a local gallery called Art Ventures. She creates 3D paintings, sculptures, and functional art from recycled paper that she rolls, paints, and arranges into complex, colorful creations like the two in this post. What I love is that Eloa found a creative way to live her values about sustainability. Rather than preaching sustainability, she set out to be sustainable, and now her art reflects the beauty and complexity of her life journey. You can learn more about Eloa and her art on her website. Enjoy!

  2. I love paper quilling and this form of art. I contemplated on starting my mixed media art but it isnt just as simple as it seems. A lot of patience and hard work goes behind creating such stunning textures. Thanks for sharing the lovely artwork and loved your expression ‘waste paper becomes sacred’. You truly are a magician with words, aren’t you! 🙂
