Rocky Mountain High
~
I have a special love for Colorado having lived there for 3 years in the early 90s. They were some of the best times in my life, much of that due to the beautiful Rocky Mountains and easy access to outdoor activities. These beautiful photos are from my high school friend Gayle Shoemaker Fetick. You can enjoy more of her gorgeous photography on her Facebook site.
Having visited Colorado and explored the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains I can see why you loved it so much. What a magnificent area. I remember being up high in the mountains and looking west, and it was like an ocean of mountain tops disappearing in the distance. Hope to return there someday. Thank you for the pics and reminder. Janet 🙂

I love your ocean of mountain description Janet. I had a similar feeling the first time I hiked a mountain peak. I hope to get back too!

Yes JoAnna, it was wonderful to live at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains being able to look up at them from all over town and easily access them for hiking and exploring.

Stunning pictures and I also have a soft spot for Colorado. My wife and I lived in the Denver area from mid 70’s until moving to San Diego in 1989. Rocky Mountain high is right!! Love Colorado!!
