Sacred Spirals

orange petals glow
with sacred spirals of love
rhythms of the heart

This is another tribute to Summer Love that is fading fast. These calla lilies grow in containers in my landlord’s back yard. Their blossoms last only a few days in mid summer.
Farewell, my sweet beauty. May you return again.
Beautiful! 😊

Beautiful opulent flowers Brad, I do love the spiral and the way it appears so much in nature.

unfortunately everything has to decay, but fortunately you made a photo before this flower decayed, Brad. Wonderful. Have a nice day, regards Mitza

Agreed Mitza. Life is cycles of birth and death. I’m learning to accept my advancing death.

Don’t start right after birth, though, Brad 🙂

Wonderful post, Brad! Sadly, some good things do not last forever. A challenging life 🙂

Hang on to Summer as long as possible Brad.. It’s sadly in rapid decline here in the UK.. As that Autumnal nip is now in the air..
Lovely poem Brad.. 🙂 and Photo

Thanks Sue. The autumn nip is here too, and I would love for the warm days and flowers to linger. 🙂

Thanks Diana. The truth is I don’t want summer and heat to linger, only the flowers. 🙂

I’m a fan of the changing seasons, but summer was late in coming this year. I’ll take it for a few more weeks. Then 8 months of solid rain.

I like the seasons too, but 8 months of rain would be hard. Where are you?

Coastal Range in Oregon (rainforest). The spigot turns on during the first week of October, usually.

Yes, I’ve heard that area has more rain than anywhere in the US. I lived in Portland for a year and couldn’t take the months of gray weather, although I loved the mild 4 seasons.

Yup, not far from Portland. The rain gives me an excuse to stay inside and write!

Wonderful thought and feeling with this poem Brad, come May she will return with those “… sacred spirals of love, rhythms of the heart” renewed. The ending of summer is always a bit sad, especially this year as it seems another month is needed. Wishing you a great autumn ahead!

Thank you Randall. Your comments seem to integrate my last two posts. Both appreciating and morning the passing of summer and the seasons. I hope you find time for some autumn adventures and photography. 🙂

Just wanted to stop by and say hi. I’m reminded of the divine ratio in your image here. And the rhythms of life. Your haiku is spot on. Now that fall’s here, it’s bittersweet: I love the heat and colors of summer, the delicate flowers of spring and now, the flaming colors of fall. But the colder weather in preparation for the winter months? Sigh…lol. Hope you’re doing well and enjoying that muse vacation. 🙂

Thanks Cynthia. I share your feelings and perspective on the seasons. My muse has enjoyed the break. Now my body needs a rest!
