Zen Gardens

maple tree and stones
beauty found in the simple
the power of Zen
~
I’ve always like the simplicity of Zen gardens. They often make use of rocks with only a few plants as highlights. On a walk in the neighborhood, I found a Zen garden that I attempted to capture with my cellphone. None of the photos are as sharp as I would like, but I hope you get the idea. May your life be touched by the grace and beauty of simplicity.
Lovely.

I would love to create a Zen garden. Even though rocks will be the primary feature, I have such a poor track record keeping plants alive, I suspect it would be a cruel injustice to inflict on an otherwise happy plant.

Go for it Gabe. You could always make one without plants. 🙂

True. and my wife has suggested that we get fake plants, but something about a living thing adds immeasurably to the serenity.
What I REALLY need is a gardener ( and who can clean dishes and take care of laundry since I’m dreaming;) )

I might be willing. What’s the pay? And does that make me assistant househusband? XD

And yes, the best kind of feast isn’t it!

You are very welcome Brad. You know I always value and appreciate yours on my posts too.
I think we have a strong sense of others who have been on or are on a similar journey, and together… we get each other over ‘the line’.
Wishing you a lovely week 🙋🏻💐

Interesting contrast between the smooth, grey, round stones and the pointy red plant. Somehow, it works!

Funny and I was just reading about paying attention as a doorway to compassion and connection. 🙂
