The Grace of Snow
~
a blanket of white
soothes and calms my soul
with the purity of love
comes a fresh adventure
~
the grace of snow
brings my spirit home
body and mind united
refreshed and ready to love
~
We had a brief and surprise dusting of snow Saturday afternoon. It was just enough to create a beautiful white blanket across the landscape. Trees, yard and spring flowers were covered in a blanket of love.
I love snow along with the feelings of play and joy that spring from my heart. This is probably connected to the many happy hours spent playing in the snow as a child. I would build snowmen, forts, and snow angels, and sled for hours whenever it snowed.
May we enjoy and appreciate the dance of seasons across our lives. Blessings, Brad
Snow is such a fun to me, too! I am in NJ and it’s pouring down bad here 🙂

Lovely words and yes, just enough snow to thoroughly enjoy 🙂 Where I grew up in the southeastern corner of England we had very little snow and so when it did….oh my goodness we went mad. I also love making snow angels…which I learned to do in the States. Thank you and hope you enjoy a lovely Tuesday…Janet 🙂

A lovely poem Brad.. and yes its never Too late for Snow. I hear NY is having a rougher time of it as winter strikes again.
I still feel we shall get some snow before winter’s chill has really given way to Spring.. 🙂
Loved those photo’s too. 🙂 Snow is Cleansing as is rain.. so I am not surprised we are getting so much more of it these days 😉
Have a great Week Brad.. Loved my catch up again.. ❤ xx

Thank you Sue. I’d like a little bit more, but not what NY is getting! May we receive a modest snow. 🙂

Getting pummeled with snow up here in the North East. Due 12″ to 18″ after tomorrow ends. Yikes! Makes for a very cozy day inside next to the wood stove. So thankful I do not have to go out in this blizzard. Always something to be grateful for if one just looks….Have a happy Brad…VK 🙂

You have a good attitude for dealing with the heavy snow VK. Settle in and relax… Enjoy!

So fun that you got some snow down there, Brad! Sounds like you took full advantage and appreciation of it while it lasted. We had some snow here too, it really is lovely. Beautiful photos and expression of words. ☺

Yes Julie. The snow was fun, but so little and gone the next day. 😦 I’d like a little more, but not the blizzard hitting the east. Enjoy yours snow. 🙂

Good for you Brad. Looks like we won’t be getting that last storm here in Romania. Could sure use an extra dose of that grace of snow.

We’ll send the grace anyway! 🙂 How much snow is typical in Romania?

Thanks Brad. I know I sound whiney, but I can sure use it (the grace).
Annual snowfall varies quite a bit. Last year we had 3 dustings in Bucharest, but over a meter in the nearby foothills (and I was out of country for all of them). This year, we’ve enjoyed several big storms, but I suspect Spring is here to stay now.

You can whine (a little!). Sorry you missed all the snow. We only had this one 2″ dusting all winter. 😦

We get too little snow here these days, we haven’t had a proper snowfall for a number of years, but I share your enthusiasm for the different feeling snow brings.

Lovely. I enjoy snow at first fall, I do a quick walk through then head back to the warmth of indoors and then vicariously enjoy it—like as you’ve so wonderfully described here😊

To thine own self be true, right?! Do what works for you. I’m tropical through-and-through so take winter and snow is small doses😊

Do you live in a tropical place? I’ve wondered what it would be like to live somewhere with beaches and year round warm.
