life in tornado alley

I am very grateful that yet again we had a miss on a tornado moving through the region. NW Arkansas is just east of what is referred to as “tornado alley” for the high number of tornadoes that hit the area. About once a year, we have a storm that gets really close or passes through the area, but so far, no direct hits to the town I live in. Many thanks to the storm protectors. 🙂

  1. I don’t know how anybody can live where tornadoes are common!!!! It is like an earthquake, not much time to run and get safe vs a hurricane or something you watch for days. The suddenness and brutality of tornadoes is frightening. Wow! Hunker down Brad and stay safe. I am in the opposite boat up here in the mountains awaiting some kind of snow storm event. Oh lucky day….It’s called hunker down by the wood stove! Stay safe down there….Happy weekend…VK 🙂

  2. Wow…you are close to Tornado Alley!….I love the poem – in it I sense your anticipation. I believe that extreme weather conditions have a profound effect on our whole being….I get that from your words. Brilliant. Janet 🙂

  3. Tornadoes scare me, Brad!! I dream about them…have no idea the meaning behind that. I have seen ‘waterspouts’ off the coast. And while we have to deal with hurricanes here, at least we get a lot of warning. Will send prayers to keep you tornado free through this upcoming season!! ❤
