Sweet Waters

I finally got out to hike a short hike around a nearby lake called Lake Fayetteville. It’s a great place in town to hike, bike, walk, kayak, fish or picnic. I’m grateful for this local gem just a few miles away and have considered moving closer so I could easily access the trails more often. How fun would that be to have this as my neighbor? I’ve been practicing gratitude for about a month now and it seems to be helping me remember all the reasons I have to be grateful. May you find more gratitude in your life. blessings, Brad
Yes Brad you do have so much to be grateful for and do we all. Keep up the great postings and it is great having a park nearby. There is something soothing about walking on a trail to put things in perspective.

I am trying to follow in your footsteps and practice gratitude consciously. And one of the things I feel grateful for every day is to live close to hiking trails and nature…Wonderful picture and haiku!

Me too! It’s pretty silly that I don’t go all the time since it’s only 15″ away. 🙂

I know. I’m like that about the beach. I take it for granted. But you’ve made a start!

Thanks, and I would definitely go to the beach if it was near! Living inland I miss the beaches of the east coast.

Maybe your lake has a bit of beach to remind you.

Thanks JoAnna. Interesting idea and I do have a collection of shells from the beach in my bathroom to remind me. 🙂

There is something about water that draws me toward it – the mystery of what it holds just below the surface and its unassuming power is alluring. Enjoy your time immersing yourself in everything it provides and best wishes for a wonderful weekend!

Me too Dave. Plus I love swimming and playing in water, but they don’t allow swimming in this lake! To immersion…
