Haunted or Hallowed
~
hateful warlords
corporate mouthpieces
media hysteria
fearful mobs
endless wars
systemic poverty
climate crisis

connections
opportunities
hidden in challenges
will we divide in fear
or unify in love
choices are looming
the time is now
hallowed be thy name

All Saints’ Day, aka All Hallows’ Day, All Souls Day, Hallowmas, or Feast of All Saints, is a Christian celebration to honor saints with festivals and church services. It is celebrated on different days in various Christian traditions and based on the idea that there is a bond between the living and the dead. Here’s a helpful article examining All Saints’ Day, Halloween and their connection.
Regardless of your faith or beliefs, it can be a time to reflect on the connections between all people. May we honor the dead by living fully in love, creating hallowed spaces wherever we are.
Hallowed All Souls Day!
Great poem! Your first picture shows exactly how I always remember the All Saints’ Day from home.

Thanks Mitza. I feel the chaos in the world is asking us to choose love or fear. May we rise together.

You look at pix of places like Sweden and it makes you feel somewhat cheap and pathetic to be here in America with all of its toxic candy, cheap toxic plastic costumes etc. and there they are in a beautiful cemetery all lit up with candles and respectfulness…Thanks for sharing. It gives us all something to admire and hopefully live up to one day.BTW, wonderful poem Brad……VK 🙂

I’m glad you enjoyed my poem VK. Certainly Sweden and other countries have things to teach us, as we do them. It’s interesting how we each see & project onto the world. 🙂
