Moon Musings
the earth, moon and sun
enter a cosmic dance
while circling the galaxy
awe eclipses my mind
as beauty shines forth
galactic mysteries reflected
in soft orange hues
an invitation to wonder
the questions are legion
the answers mysterious
circling in soft shades of night
~
Very cloudy night in my part of the world to view the moon.

We had a gorgeous display, although I have no photos! Thankfully, the web is full of great shots. 🙂

Ah I love this, Brad! I love the moon! I was out there the other night watching the eclipse, it was so cool! But I have to say that what I enjoyed the most was the moon just as it first rose over the horizon, it was so big and bright and orange… just sublime… ❤

Thanks Julie. I’m sorry to say I missed the beginning, but can imagine the beauty thanks to all the great photos I saw online! Sublime indeed and heartwarming! ❤

Thank you Tiny. It was wonder-ful. I was pleasantly surprised by how many of my neighbors were out watching the moon! Another sublime treat. 🙂

I’m smiling. We had a neighborhood meeting as well…but none of us saw the moon. I gave up last 🙂

Truly beauty it was! I love the way you captured it into a lovely poem. Somehow I had trouble sleeping during that night – perhaps that’s the “invitation to wonder” the moon 🙂

Thanks Indah! Yes, I bet the moon was inviting you to play and wonder. May that soft light illuminate your mind and heart. 🙂

Thank you haha actually we only got like a second to see through it as there was long line (waited for two hours) but we did get some good photos outside 🙂

The moon gives me a feeling of being a little kid again, as it was fascinating then and even more so today. “the questions are legion the answers mysterious circling in soft shades of night” – and you answer the question as to why.

Great association and reminders for me too Randall. As a kid, I loved watching the moon and stars. The night sky was filled with mystery and magic.
