I love the delicate flowers on the cilantro. It’s a delight to have such beautiful and delicate blossoms on my herbs. And yes Cynthia, they are edible!  🙂 I chose the alternative spelling of lacy for this urban definition; Gracefulness at its best, unexplained beauty, and confusion with no-limit! This certainly describes me when I encounter the unexplained beauty in my garden.  🙂

  1. Perfect, Brad!! So peaceful so beautiful! Cilantro is one of my favorite herbs. I had some planted in a pot up north a few years ago…and to my surprise it slept through the cold harsh winters and woke again in the spring these last few years! I will see soon if it made it through last winter 😉 Many blessings dear friend ♡

  2. I have cilantro envy….I can grow oregano, basil, chives, mint and parsley, but my fav herb of the summertime gets aphids and/or dies each and every location and season that I plant it. I must enjoy the thriving cilantro through your garden my friend and will be happy that one of us has a robust supply of this delicious guacamole enhancing taste sensation! All the best Brad!!

  3. That’s funny Lisa. I’m horrible at herbs, but cilantro is one of the few that grew for me, though it’s already getting ready to bolt and be done for the season. 😦 I love guac with or without cilantro, but it does enhance it greatly! I’m glad you can enjoy some vicarious benefit! hugs my friend.

  4. Lovely, Brad. Hey, aren’t you supposed to use up the cilantro before it blooms?
(Says she, who never gets to pick hers till after it blooms…)
    Nice poem!
And yes – cilantro does come back up from seed. We always have a few each year, and sometimes more than a few. So does dill – big time.

  5. Thanks Cynthia. Yes, it turns yellow and loses its flavor as it bolts and flowers. I like a lower maintenance garden, so I’m transitioning to more flowers and perennials. It’s a fun hobby, but not much harvest for me. 🙂
