sublime is my love

love colors the sunset

caressing skin with love

hands that whisper love

soul to soul love

sacred love as light

reflections of pure love

love as blessed union

an ocean of love

pointers, yet not love

~

Close you eyes. Fall in love. Stay there. ~ Rumi

This is my feeble attempt to describe the mystery and joys of love. If you want to play along, this is a poetry challenge called Love in Ten Sentences. Here are the rules; write a post titled “Love in Ten Sentences” or “Love in Ten Lines” in my case, with 10 lines, each 4 words long. Every line must contain the word “love.” At the end of the poem, include a favorite quote about love and nominate 10 bloggers. I figure this being love, you can follow your heart about the rules!  Lorrie Bowden nominated me and shared this beautiful poem on love.

I invite the following friends to join:

  1. You wretch! You blighter! You….
(You know I’m just posing as a poet. How could you possibly include me in this exalted list?)
You awful person! You…. (See, I am lacking the words.)

Your poem is lovely, which just intimidates me more.

Wishing you a good day – I think.
    Your Imposter-Poet friend.

  2. I love that poem Brad and thank you for the nomination, I accept but might take a while. 🙂 Also on a side note I would love to reblog a poem of yours as I am a big fan and as a gesture of my appreciation, would that be ok?

  3. Thanks Neha. I’d be delighted for you to reblog any of my posts or poems. No need to ask. I prefer sharing from the heart as opposed to awards and challenges. Thanks for playing along, at your leisure. 🙂

  4. I love – no pun intended – how each line is a representation of what love is, and yet the final line says it all. There is nothing that can ultimately define love. Love just “is”. Beautiful, as always, Brad – thanks for sharing!
