Autumn Delights

Autumn Delightsimg_6275_0262

Mother Earth shares her bounty

all through the county

glorious golden hues

to entice the views

miles of orange and greens

fill my mental screens

~

the dance of colors and smells

awakens me from mental spells

earthy smells, oddly vibrant with decay

never cease to make my day

thank you fall for reminding me

the glories of allowing life to be

~

More photos and joys from last Autumn’s glorious display.

  1. Lovely words and photos Brad. The line ‘earthy smells, oddly vibrant with decay’ immediately evoked that unique autumn smell of damp soil and decaying vegetation one experiences walking in woodland at this time of year 🙂

  2. The great outdoors is always a good therapy, any time of year! Sometimes I find too many things that have to be done indoors, a home can become a bit of a prison sometimes, it’s good to purposefully go for walks. Autumn in the US always looks a lot more colourful than the UK. Although I believe Scotland has some similar vibrancy in autumn too! 🙂

    • Agreed on the nature therapy Suzy. It’s time for me to get out and enjoy! I’ve not been to the UK or Scotland, but I shared a blog post with an amazing variety of geography in Scotland, so I bet there would some great autumn shows. 🙂
