Soothing Waters

Soothing Waterspoetry, flow, soul

babbling brook hums tunes

rippling across mind and soul

soothing water chords

~

whispers to my heart

time to flow and sing with joy

life is love in flow

The photo is from here in Fayetteville, AR along Skull Creek Trail, our main north to south trail, at a cozy little cove I found to sit and rest.Β

    • Thanks Frederic! I’m delighted that my words touch you. πŸ™‚ I too love water, though I’m a Gemini. I find playing in water to be incredibly refreshing and restoring. I fact, I miss the ocean, having grown up on the East coast and going to the beach every summer for vacations.

  4. One of our family’s favorite spots is in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. There is a campground that we occupy almost annually for a week. And there is one particular site in that campground where the sound of the creek running through is cleansing, calming, invigorating, and peaceful all at once. It is amazing the power and emotion that nature is able to provide when we open up to it. Thanks for sharing, you took me back to experience so very fond memories πŸ˜‰

  5. Wonderful Dave. I totally agree about opening to nature. Running water nourishes me with the sights, sounds, smells and feelings too. You just reminded me how much the Smokies have touched me. I spent time at a wonderful creek south of Black Mountain, NC near the Light Center that was similar. My blog header photo above was taken during sunset near Ashville, NC in the mid 90s. It’s fun overlapping interests and travels with you. Thanks for sharing the journey. πŸ™‚

  6. Mm… soothing water chords, that’s a great way to describe the sound of water!! πŸ™‚ Water is very soothing to see and hear. I went to the beach a few day ago, and it was a misty cool day, no-one on the beach at all, I noticed how different the sound of the sea was, without excitable voices on the sand, there was a beautiful calm rhythm – definitely water chords, the sounds of earth!
