sending out beacons of light

birds, bees and people take flight

flocking to absorb the beauty

intoxicating aroma fills the air

wafting through body and heart

bees buzz, birds sing and lovers start

what is this eternal call

~

poets ponder

gypsies wander

creatures heed the call

no need to ponder

do we simply allow

love to move us freely

or do we stagnate in mind

land of endless analysis

the call is eternal

the time is now

fear and pain grab hold

but hope springs eternal

follow your heart

free your mind

nurture your soul

This is a love poem to myself. Yesterday was a particularly hard day financially and emotionally. I’ll be writing more about this cycle of pain and loss that seems to keep me from moving forward in any meaningful way in my life. Meanwhile, a glimmer of hope has poked through the clouds. Thanks for your love and support.

blessings, Brad

  1. Thanks Line. Truthfully, I’m still in the pain and loss, but hoping that I can find a way to make some changes in my life to stem the continued financial losses, emotional pain and stuck areas in my life. Thanks for caring. 🙂

  2. Brad…catch that glimmer and hold it gently…it will blossom…You must believe that. I know you are having a hard time of late…and I know it can sometimes feel like you can’t find the answers. But if you believe with your heart and your soul…and I mean really believe…and believe you deserve it!!! That glimmer will shine so bright…you will have to put sunglasses on! My friend….you will come through this dark patch…and you will create beauty. Sometimes we have to clear out the dark to make room for new light! I am with you and sending you all good positive thoughts! ❤ ❤ Blessitude…Lorrie

    • Thanks Lorrie, I have always struggled with faith and mostly my emotional cycles are still too dependent on external events putting me in the storms of life rather than surfing the waves or rooted in the depths of soul and love. Yes, I will create beauty. Thanks for your love and support my friend. ❤

      • Brad…what you wrote here is so beautiful. I lived the way you speak of for quite a long time. Nobody can change things for you…you have to do that for yourself…but I’ll always be here to lend a hand…an ear…my heart…whatever you need. You’ll figure it out when you’re ready 🙂 I know it!! 🙂 ❤

  5. Wonderful heart felt poem Brad.. and sorry to hear you are experiencing a negative phase in your life right now.. Keep focused knowing all things pass and all things happen to set us along a different pathway in life.. At the time of endurance we can not always see the why’s and the wherefores, but each of us have patches whereby we move through the pain, and hardships to emerge wiser and stronger…
Keep faith with the light .. and sending my thoughts your transition will be short and smooth into a more positive phase of experience.

    • Hey Julie, Thanks for sending the extra love and light! I received a bonus smile from your comments. XD The colors of the echinacea were wonderful, though the clarity bothers me. This is why I think about buying a good camera. 🙂

      • I think it has fine clarity, sometimes a softer touch gives it a nice effect, dreamy-like. 🙂
I would like to get a good camera too, the one I have was a pretty good one back in the day (it was a birthday gift from my sister about 10 years ago), but the technology is much more advanced now, and I’d like a better macro lens to make those close-ups I like to take even that much more closer. But I am grateful for the one I have, it takes lovely pictures just the same. 🙂
Hope you have a good day today Brad!

  8. Wishing you peace and ease, Brad. I don’t know as I could add to the wonderful support that has shown up here. I’ll just lend another voice of encouragement. It’s a tightrope walk sometimes– one side the abyss you seem to have to “do something about”, the other side the spiritual help you have to “surrender to” in order to realize freedom. The conflict, I find, when it takes up residence in the mind and our emotions are whipped into a frenzy, can be overwhelming to the point of freezing us solid. I find it helpful to remember that when my emotions are about as clear as Category 5 hurricane, there’s no way I’m seeing possibility accurately. I think we walk away from the deepest pains through taking simple, achievable steps. A moment arises… We respond first with pain, but we choose… We can be at peace now… We can breathe… We are here… We can accept the situation, and look, after forty such moments, a simple action to take has arisen…

  9. Thank you my friend. This is a wonderful perspective. The key is to reach for peace (40 times, I tend to be impatient to fix it!), and wait for inspired action. This is a great reminder that I can refer to when the next hurricane blows in! 🙂 I appreciate your suggestions and support. blessings, Brad
